group activity report schema

Greg Dollin Jul 04, 2016 10:07PM PDT

My site pulls logs from 2 different proxy servers for analysis. One source is an ISA server, the other is a McAfee Webgateway. I currently have an existing Group Activity report that works as required with our ISA data. The schema it uses is ISA Proxy 2006.

I would like to be able to create a new report that would give me the same report structure but using the data from both the two different sources (i.e. ISA and McAfee Webgateway).

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could do this. I am an amateur at this so detailed instructions would be most beneficial.

Hey Greg,

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

We do have a schema called 'All Web Schemas' which pulls out the 'common' fields from web-based schemas. That is, Usernames, URLs and Date Times. If you can build your report using these three main fields, then you can build a report template using the All Web Schemas 'schema' and run it across your ISA Server, and McAfee Web Gateway storages.

If your report is making use of specific ISA or McAfee Web Gateway fields such as Rule, Action, URL Categories etc, then unfortunately you'll need to use a report for each format.

If you upload your Group Activity report template (select the template and click 'Save this template') to http://fastvue.co/upload - we can take a look and make some recommendations.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers!
Scott
